SEK International School Qatar is an IB World School authorized to offer three IB Programmes – the Primary Years Programme (PYP) the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP).

Central to the philosophy of the PYP is the principle that purposeful, structured inquiry is a powerful vehicle for learning that promotes meaning and understanding, and challenges students to engage with significant ideas. Therefore, in the PYP there is also a commitment to a concept-driven curriculum as a means of supporting that inquiry.

Consequently, SEK International School Qatar students will be drawing on a variety of sources of knowledge and ideas, some of which may be traditional textbooks.

The School will inform families about the materials their children are using or need for the programme.

Beginning after the break for Eid Al-Adha, SEK International School Qatar will offer a complete range of extracurricular activities, as part of its holistic approach to the intellectual, social and physical development of students.

Currently, our staff is preparing an attractive variety of options which we want to tailor to the particular needs and interests of our school community once our inaugural school year has started.

The school will consult with and inform families regarding the extracurricular programme.

Sports are an essential aspect of the educational model at SEK International Schools.

SEK International School Qatar sports facilities includes a multipurpose Indoor Sports Hall where our students can practice football, basketball and volleyball amongst other activities, as well as outdoor football, basketball and volleyball courts.
