Book Week at SEK-Qatar

At SEK International School Qatar, Book Week brought the entire school community together in a joyful celebration of storytelling, creativity, and learning. Across the PYP, MYP, and DP, students engaged in a variety of experiences designed to inspire a lifelong love of reading.

The Book Fair was a central highlight, giving students the opportunity to explore and choose books that sparked their curiosity, while a lively panda show and engaging author readings added excitement and inspiration to the week.

Creativity was on full display during the Character Dress-Up Parade, where students, teachers, and staff came together to celebrate their favourite book characters. Throughout the week, students also took part in buddy reading sessions, interactive quizzes, and maths storytelling activities, encouraging collaboration and curiosity across all year levels.

The school’s Radio Station Club captured the spirit of the week through a special podcast episode, highlighting student voice and reflection. Meanwhile, the “Feed a Friend” initiative encouraged students to donate books, reinforcing values of empathy and community.

Book Week at SEK-Qatar was a vibrant whole-school experience—celebrating not only books, but the connections and learning they inspire.
